Job summary

University of South Carolina seeks a Financial Aid Coordinator in the Loans Department to administer federal loan programs and assist in student financial aid processing. The role involves reviewing COD and disbursement reports, and handling one-term loan processing.

The incumbent will participate in general advisement during peak times and support in professional judgment, eligibility review, and other aid-related responsibilities to ensure accurate aid processing.

• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work for diverse populations
• Ability to make independent but accurate judgments
• Willingness to learn DL program knowledge and COD system requirements
• Ability to work independently within a highly integrated team

Responsibilities

• Administer Federal Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized, Parent PLUS and Graduate PLUS loans, and Private Educational Loans.
• Review COD reports, disbursement reports, and one-term loan processing.
• Assist in general student advisement and in federal financial aid application review and processing including professional judgment and eligibility.
