IntelliTec College in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Financial Aid Representative to assist students with the financial aid process, update student files, and manage related records.

You will meet with new students to discuss costs and payment options, assist with FAFSA paperwork, determine eligibility, and ensure timely access to Federal Student Aid funds. Strong knowledge of regulations and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1+ year of experience in Finance, Accounting, Education, or Customer Service.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to secure government systems.
• Familiarity with FAFSA and federal student aid processes.

Responsibilities

• Meet with new and prospective students to provide educational cost estimates and discuss payment methods and options.
• Follow up with new and prospective students to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Assist parents and/or students with FAFSA filing paperwork to determine financial aid eligibility.
• Determine student eligibility for Federal Student Aid (FSA) funds and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Complete all established financial aid processes to ensure the accurate and timely payment of Federal Student Aid funds.
• Manage the yearly refinancing process with students to ensure the timely receipt of second-year funding.
• Establish student work-study eligibility and collaborate with the HR liaison to complete new hire paperwork.
• Meet with students prior to graduation for exit counseling and review student loan repayment information.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all applicable financial aid regulations.
• Demonstrate effective teamwork with all members of the enrollment team.
