Job summary

Colorado College seeks a Financial Aid Counselor to provide comprehensive counseling and administration of financial aid for prospective and current students and families. You will manage processes, review records for accuracy, and ensure timely, student-centered delivery of aid in coordination with the Student Financial Services team.

Responsibilities

• Advise and counsel prospective and current students and families regarding financial aid eligibility, application requirements, financing options, regulatory requirements, and student account impacts.
• Research and resolve complex financial aid and student account concerns, explain interaction of aid, charges, payments, and refunds, and identify matters requiring additional review or specialized support.
• Review financial aid applications, documentation, and student records for accuracy and completeness; resolve conflicts and determine eligibility.
• Complete assigned financial aid processing, revisions, and disbursement-related work in accordance with federal, state, and institutional requirements.
• Administer assigned federal, institutional, private, and other financial aid programs and processes, ensuring accurate awarding, disbursement, reconciliation, and ongoing program management.
• Serve as the financial aid resource for assigned student populations and program areas; develop relationships with campus partners and participate in outreach and professional development.
