The Financial Aid Counselor position is responsible for providing counseling services related to student financial aid to students and their families; processing financial aid paperwork; disseminating information regarding financial aid programs to prospective and enrolled students; meeting with students and families one-on-one and in groups to talk about financial aid; engaging in student financial aid educational sessions on and off-campus; heavy contact with students and families via email, phone and in-person; corresponding with other schools and agencies to provide financial aid information; complying with the Federal Blue Book, the Federal Handbook for Financial Aid Administrators, the Encyclopedia of Financial Aid, and the Federal Register of Title IV regulations; communicating as needed with all administrative offices of the university; and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
40 hours per week
