Broward College is seeking a part-time Financial Aid Office Assistant to support the Financial Aid Advising - Central team. The role focuses on helping students and families navigate the FAFSA and FA applications, while handling routine clerical tasks with confidentiality and accuracy.
Responsibilities include information provision, document scanning, and outreach participation to promote FAFSA completion. A high school diploma is required, with preferred office experience.
Under general supervision this position performs general office support for the financial aid department which involves routine and similar clerical duties requiring general knowledge of basic office systems and procedures in a high-volume area. The primary purpose of this position is to assist students and parents through the financial aid process. The incumbent will perform a variety of clerical functions/processes that are designed and directed by technical professional staff. Limited independent judgment is needed.
This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans’ Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295.
