Job summary

This position is located at the Cal Poly Solano Campus in Vallejo, California.

Under the general direction of the Director of Financial Aid at the Cal Poly Solano Campus, this position serves as the initial contact via phone, in-person and via email correspondence for current and prospective students and their families as well as general public inquires; does document in-take; and completes necessary reviews of financial aid files to ensure accuracy of awards and disbursement of financial aid.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field.
• Experience substituting education on a year-for-year basis may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact via phone, in-person and email for current and prospective students and families, and general public inquiries.
• Perform document intake and reviews of financial aid files to ensure accuracy of awards and disbursement.
• Interpret and apply federal Title IV, state and institutional financial aid rules to individual student circumstances.
