Job summary

Bryan University is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to educate applicants about financial aid options and guide them through the process. This remote role supports students nationwide and accepts applicants from specified states, including Arizona.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in college financial aid, strong customer service, and the ability to work virtually using Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in financial aid at a college or university.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with applicants seeking to qualify and obtain financial aid.
• Examine applicant documents for SFA eligibility requirements.
• Maintain accurate student files in accordance with SFA regulations including verification and disbursement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students receiving financial aid.
• Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Financial Aid.

Pay Range: $22.59 - $24.03 per hour

Position Summary of the Financial Aid Advisor:

As a Financial Aid Advisor, you will support Bryan University’s mission to help our students liberate their innate greatness by educating Bryan University applicants about the financial aid offerings available while providing appropriate information to assist the applicant in their decision‑making process. You will help to facilitate the applicants’ chosen pathway to achieve their educational goals through our industry focused and career‑driven programs by navigating them through the financial aid process.

• Conduct interviews with applicants seeking to qualify and obtain financial aid
• Examine applicant documents for SFA eligibility requirements
• Maintain accurate student files in accordance with SFA regulations including verification and disbursement
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students receiving financial aid
• Other duties as assisting by the Associate Director of Financial Aid

Requirements of the Financial Aid Advisor:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
• 3+ years of previous experience in financial aid at a college or university required.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment
• Excellent customer service skills including phone and email etiquette
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, etc.
• Attend required annual trainings as requested on campus.
