Job summary

Herzing University is seeking an Associate Financial Aid Advisor to guide students through the financial aid process and counsel on funding options. Onboarding support is provided via the On the Job Training Program, with opportunities for growth through Career Pathways.

Remote work is possible for employees residing in the United States only. The role requires strong customer service, MS Office proficiency, and familiarity with student information systems.

Responsibilities

This is a customer service position assisting a diverse student population. In this role you will guide students through the financial aid process and counsel prospective and current students through funding options. Financial Advisors receive onboarding support through our On the Job Training Program and have opportunities for growth by means of our Career Pathways.

To participate in a remote work arrangement, employees must reside in the United States. No remote work arrangement will be considered for working from outside the United States.

Schedule

A 40‑hour work‑week schedule will be determined based on preference and business needs falling during typical business hours for Herzing's Online Division, with one shift with evening hours and minimal Saturday hours required.

Requirements

Associate Financial Aid Advisor

• Title IV administration/VA certifying official preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time.
• Must be able to occasionally move around the work location.
• Constantly operates office and/or teach equipment which may include computers, copiers, fax machines, audio/visuals.
• Frequently uses voice and hearing to communicate with students, staff or colleagues face‑to‑face or over the telephone.
• Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
• Occasionally move, carry, or lift 10 pounds.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.54 to $27.78 (Associate level) or $21.74 to $29.42 (Advisor level). Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire.
