Job summary

Joyce University is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to guide students and families through the financial aid journey with clarity, care, and confidence. You’ll support FAFSA completion, award packaging, and compliance, while counseling students across appointments, workshops, calls, and virtual tools.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to improve enrollment, retention, and student satisfaction, and participate in orientations, information sessions, and student forums.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience working directly with students and families in Financial Aid.
  • Working knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Guide students through the financial aid process, from FAFSA completion to award packaging.
  • Review and analyze financial aid applications to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid.
  • Award and adjust aid packages in compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Counsel students and families through individual appointments, workshops, calls, email, and virtual tools.
  • Manage verification files, resolve discrepancies, and submit corrections.
  • Evaluate special and unusual circumstances with sound judgment and empathy.
  • Collaborate across departments to support enrollment, retention, and student satisfaction.
  • Present at orientations, information sessions, and student forums.
  • Support exit counseling for students who withdraw or graduate.
  • Contribute to team initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and university events.

What You'll Do

As a Financial Aid Advisor, you will serve as a trusted resource for students and families by:

  • Guiding students through the financial aid process, from FAFSA completion to award packaging
