Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a Financial Aid Administrator to guide students through the financial aid process. You will report to the Director of Financial Aid and handle eligibility, packaging, and disbursements while maintaining compliance.

This role requires daily on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff at the Sacramento campus. Strong customer service, organization, and detail orientation are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in financial aid administration
• 2+ years of financial aid experience preferred
• Campus VUE experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; database familiarity helpful
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills; attention to detail and multi-tasking ability

Responsibilities

• Process verification and disbursements for financial aid
• Award state and federal aid to eligible students per regulations
• Counsel students and parents on aid options and packaging
• Provide estimates and packaging information to students
• Manage default prevention and financial literacy programs
• Conduct audits and run reports to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with other departments to assist students
• Keep current with federal regulations and changes
• Assist with private loans as needed
• On-site presence required up to 5 days per week on campus

Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Aid Administrator to join our team.

As our Financial Aid Administrator (FAA), you will meet and communicate with current, prospective and alumni students to guide them through the financial aid process. As an FAA, you will report directly to the Director of Financial Aid. You will be responsible for administering, determining eligibility, and processing student financial aid to maintain positive cash flow, in addition to other relatedtasks for the financial aid department.

• Processing Verification and Disbursements
• Awards state and federal aid to eligible students according to regulations and policy
• Counsels students and parents
• Provides estimates and packaging information
• Default Management and Financial Literacy programs
• Auditing
• Running reports to ensure work integrity
• Interacting with other departments to assist students
• Maintaining up to date information on new federal regulations
• Assisting with Private Loans
• Regular, in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site is an essential function of this position
• This role requires on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff
• Other duties as assigned

* Please note this position is hybrid at our Sacramento campus
Pay Range: $23-$32 (Depending on level of Title IV experience)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2+ years of Financial Aid experiencepreferred
• Campus VUE experience preferred
• Computer knowledge is recommended, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task
