Job description

Overview

CEFCU member service team members play a vital role in delivering professional, knowledgeable, and caring experiences to our members. You will provide financial planning, investment services, and member relationship management while deepening member engagement and refining financial strategies. Within two years, you will transition to a Financial Advisor III.

Core Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 5:15pm. Core hours may change; evening and Saturday hours may occur to meet business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide financial planning, investment services, and member relationship management.
  • Refine financial strategies, deepen member engagement, and enhance advisory skills.
  • Assess member needs, conduct consultations, and recommend tailored investment and insurance solutions.
  • Strengthen knowledge of brokerage operations, compliance, and business development.
  • Provide the highest quality member experience for both internal and external members.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintains a Life/Health Producer license along with one of the following combinations of FINRA licenses: Series7 and Series66; Series7, 63, and 65; or Series7, 63, and 66.
  • All continuing education and testing requirements necessary to keep licenses current.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and personal vehicle insurance.
  • Fingerprinted and passes FINRA background checks.
  • Signs the Broker‑Dealer’s Registered Representative Agreement.
  • Minimum 2–6 years of licensed experience in securities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, 4–6 years of licensed experience in securities may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Experience in member/client relationship management, financial planning, or sales within a financial institution.
  • Certifications such as CFP or ChFC.
  • Bi‑lingual, Spanish preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, financial planning concepts, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Sales and business development experience with a focus on financial solutions.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and present recommendations to members/clients.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and CRM systems.
Compensation

The anticipated starting base pay range for this position is $58,656.00. The position is eligible for incentive pay opportunities based on sales performance.
