Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a driven individual to join our Advisor Group as an entry-level financial advisor trainee in Virginia. You will build a personal book of business and develop ongoing client relationships focused on helping clients achieve their goals.

You will work with seasoned financial advisor(s) to deliver comprehensive planning, learn licensing requirements (Series 7, S63/S66, S65/S66, Life/Health) within 150 days, and participate in client acquisition and practice

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Willingness to learn from seasoned financial advisors and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Obtain required licenses/credentials within 150 days of hire (FINRA Series 7, S63/S66, S65/S66, State Life/Health/Variable products).
• Attend licensing coaching and meet timelines for appointment preparation.
• Assist seasoned financial advisor(s) in servicing clients to help achieve financial goals.
• Develop and execute a marketing plan to acquire clients and grow the practice.
