Job summary

Northwestern Mutual Upper Arlington is recruiting a Financial Advisor to help clients live more and worry less through personalized financial planning. You will own the client relationship, analyze needs, and present comprehensive financial solutions with support from mentors and nationwide resources.

The role emphasizes business ownership mindset, licensing support, and access to advanced planning tools and campaigns. Inperson work in Columbus area with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 4‑year degree from an accredited institution; MBA preferred.
  • Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 or 66.
  • Proven success in the investment business and understanding of comprehensive financial planning concepts.
  • Desire for continuous learning.
  • Prior management or business ownership experience preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Build—Develop knowledge of NM financial products and market trends, develop stronger relationships with clients and network.
  • Educate—Go beyond training with sponsored licensing and registration, use assistive software, reporting tools, and illustrations to educate clients.
  • Influence—Present clients with opportunities to protect and prosper, drive clients to action through expert influence and recommendations.
  • Own—Take ownership of development and management of the business to scale an enduring firm. Review and maintain client financial plans, provide optimum advice.
