Job summary

Wealth Enhancement Group’s Salem, OR office is seeking a Financial Advisor to join an advisory team, taking over an established client portfolio as the current advisor retires.

The role offers a base salary of $100,000–$130,000, exclusive of commissions, bonuses, and benefits, plus variable compensation and participation in our equity program. CFP/CPA/MBA or equivalent advanced designation is required.

Qualifications

  • A 4‑year degree is required.
  • Advanced designation (CFP, CPA, MBA, etc.) is required.
  • Series 65 required for RIA positions.
  • 4+ years experience in wealth management is expected.
  • Ability to source and convert prospects to clients and provide high‑level planning services.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Active engagement in WEG and financial planning communities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and assist senior advisors with complex clients.
  • Source and close prospective clients.
  • Take meeting notes and enter them into the CRM.
  • Present financial advice or plan to clients with the advisor.
  • Analyze clients' investments and insurance policies.

Our Salem office in Oregon is hiring a Financial Advisor to join an advisory team, helping clients achieve their financial goals and exceeding expectations. This opportunity involves taking over an established client portfolio as the current advisor plans to retire.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000–$130,000, exclusive of commissions, bonuses, and benefits. The role also offers variable compensation and participation in our equity program.

Primary Job Functions

Manage client relationships and assist senior advisors with complex clients in accordance with the WEG planning-based standard of identity.

  • Facilitate the financial planning process
  • Discover a prospect or client’s values, goals, and objectives
  • Understand their current financial situation
  • Engage them in the financial planning process
  • Prepare and conduct annual reviews, covering both planning and investment topics

Source and close prospective clients.

  • Proactively follow up with clients who have not implemented a financial plan
  • Close leads provided by various WEG channels (Marketing, CRP, etc.)
  • Create opportunities within your network
  • Drive referrals from existing clients

Manage client relationships and client service as needed.

  • Assist the Financial Advisor during client meetings and with follow-up
  • Take meeting notes and promptly enter them into the CRM
  • Present financial advice or plan to clients with the Financial Advisor
  • Meet with clients to obtain additional planning information or clarify details
  • Analyze clients’ current investments and insurance policies
  • Place trades and manage accounts

Participate in Wealth Enhancement Group trainings, educational events, and coaching programs, demonstrating proficiency in advisor/client-facing technology.

Maintain adherence to the Wealth Enhancement Group’s Corporate Communication Strategy and remain in good compliance standing.

Education/Qualifications
  • 4‑year degree, preferably in business, finance, or economics
  • Advanced designation required (CFP, CPA, MBA, etc.)
  • Series 65 for RIA positions
  • 4+ years of experience within the wealth management industry
  • Ability to source and convert prospects to clients and provide high-level planning-oriented service
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Active engagement in WEG, the broader community, and the financial planning community
