Job description

Launch a Career With Purpose — and the Independence to Shape It

At MassMutual Pittsburgh, we believe the best careers are built, not handed out. Our Financial Advisor Development Program is designed for driven graduates who want the freedom to grow their own practice — with the training, mentorship, and resources of a nationally respected firm behind them.

About MassMutual Pittsburgh

MassMutual Pittsburgh is a full-service financial planning and wealth management firm committed to helping individuals, families, and business owners create, grow, and protect their wealth. As part of the MassMutual network, we combine the strength, stability, and resources of a Fortune 500 company with the collaborative, people-first culture of a close-knit team.

About The Program

Our Financial Advisor Development Program gives you the structure to learn, the support to grow, and the autonomy to build a practice that reflects your strengths.

What You’ll Receive
  • Licensing & Education Support: We guide you through the Life, Accident & Health (LAH) licensing process and provide training for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams.
  • Structured, Hands-On Training: Develop real-world skills in financial planning, client relationship management, prospecting, product knowledge, compliance, and business planning.
  • Mentorship & Joint Work with Senior Advisors: Work alongside experienced advisors on real client cases — gaining confidence, insight, and practical experience.
  • A Clear Path to Building Your Own Practice: Grow your own book of business with ongoing coaching, marketing support, and leadership guidance.
What You’ll Do
  • Build and grow your own client base.
  • Learn clients’ goals and design personalized financial strategies.
  • Educate clients on financial solutions and guide them through key decisions.
  • Implement and monitor financial plans as clients’ lives evolve.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development to stay ahead in the industry.
Who Thrives Here

We’re looking for individuals who want more than a job — they want a career with impact.

  • Recent graduates from any major (Finance/Business helpful but not required).
  • Entrepreneurial thinkers who are motivated by autonomy.
  • Strong communicators who enjoy building relationships.
  • People who care deeply about helping others achieve long-term success.
Build Something That Matters

If you’re ready to take ownership of your career, make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, and grow with a team that invests in your success, we’d love to connect.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
