Job summary

EZJobs in the Greater Savannah Area is seeking a Fire Alarm Tech / Inspector for a full-time, on-site role. You will install, test, inspect, and service fire alarm systems to meet codes, standards, and customer requirements, performing scheduled inspections and troubleshooting.

You will document all work in service reports, explain findings to customers, provide basic training on system operation, coordinate with internal teams, and support safety and quality control initiatives while traveling

Qualifications

• Background in training, such as instructing customers or team members on system use and safety procedures.
• Working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local building and fire codes).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
• Comfort working on-site in commercial and industrial environments, including climbing ladders and using hand and power tools.
• Relevant certifications or licenses in fire alarm inspection or installation are preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for travel to customer sites in the Greater Savannah Area.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics, low-voltage systems, or fire protection is a plus.
