Job summary

The Forge Companies is seeking a Financial Advisor within Advocacy Wealth Management's Core Accounts Unit to deliver fiduciary-level financial planning and investment services. You will work autonomously, manage a full client book, and coordinate with internal partners to implement plans and ensure client outcomes.

Required FINRA Series 65 (or obtain within 180 days) and Life & Health Insurance licenses (or obtain within 60 days).

Qualifications

  • Series 65 licensed (will be required to obtain within 6 months, if not)
  • Life and Health Insurance licensed (will be required to obtain within 6 months, if not)
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of time for client meetings.
  • Experience working directly with clients in financial services environment.
  • Detail orientated, strong math, and analytical skills.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
  • Process oriented and can work with a team.
  • Strong computer and software skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Financial Advisors to identify clients within the Core Accounts Unit and coordinate transfers.
  • Serve as the Financial Advisor and primary contact within the Core Accounts Unit to provide fiduciary-level guidance.
  • Implement recommendations from financial plans in clients' best interests.
  • Meet with clients per service standards and update financial plans.
  • Review and document clients' financial situations and risk profiles.
  • Identify additional planning opportunities through client needs assessment.
  • Act as an advisory resource for clients' attorneys and CPAs.
  • Maintain relationships with specialists supporting client service and development.

A Financial Advisor within the Core Accounts Unit at Advocacy Wealth Management is responsible for providing continuous fiduciary-level financial planning and investment services to our clients. The Financial Advisor must understand the Advocacy Wealth, Forge Consulting, and Advocacy Trust planning process, services, systems, and procedures to leverage the expertise of the entire enterprise in service of our clients. The Financial Advisor must have a working knowledge of financial products and services including portfolio investments, insurance and annuity planning, trust, and estate planning, and more. The person in this role must be able to work autonomously and manage a full book of clients. This role requires a FINRA Series 65 license or the ability to obtain one within 180 days of hire, as well as a Life & Health Insurance license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.

  • Work diligently to develop expertise in the financial planning process as employed by Advocacy Wealth Management for our unique client base which consists primarily of injured plaintiffs who receive a lawsuit recovery.
  • Work with other Financial Advisors to identify AWM clients who are best served within the Core Accounts Unit and then work with all interested parties to transfer these clients to the unit.
  • Serve as the Financial Advisor and primary contact within the Core Accounts Unit to provide fiduciary-level financial guidance to assigned clients.
  • Work with clients and appropriate internal and external partners to implement all recommendations and solutions presented in the financial plan that are in the best interest of the client.
  • Meet with clients pursuant to the service standards outlined for the Core Accounts Unit and update as necessary their financial plan to include the verification of their portfolio suitability and risk profile.
  • Assume responsibility for proper review and documentation of the client’s financial situation.
  • Identify additional planning opportunities through an assessment of the client's financial needs.
  • Serve as a personal financial advisory resource for a client’s attorney and CPA.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with various specialists who support client service and client development efforts. Serve as an advocate for clients with other business units.
  • Monitor and update pertinent client information using the firm’s contact management system.
  • Stay abreast of changing economic, legal, financial planning, investment, and general market and business issues and trends impacting clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
