Cherry Bekaert LLP is expanding its Financial & Accounting Outsourcing team in a challenging role based in Chicago. You will collaborate with partners, managers, and clients on a range of advisory, assurance, and tax engagements focusing on internal controls, cost accounting and government-related contracts.

The position emphasizes the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, develop expertise in FAR/CAS/DFARS and other federal regulations, and progress toward CPA or CIA credentials while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required or preferred.
• Interest in Grant or Contract Management processes and the impact of accounting systems on key business transactions.
• Developing a solid understanding of accounting standards (US GAAP).
• Willingness to pursue CPA or CIA designation.
• Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Partners, Managers, Associates and clients on compliance and contract management projects.
• Provide contract and grant management support.
• Analyze clauses and terms & conditions for solicitations and contract awards for clients.
• Conduct subcontractor evaluations for clients.
• Assist with contract modifications and pricing/estimating.
• Conduct Cost & Price Analysis and related analyses.
• Develop processes, policies and procedures and perform walkthroughs.
• Support and lead consulting and audit engagements to help clients manage risks.
• Provide Excel modeling and data analysis for engagements.
