Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field; or 5+ years' financial management experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and its impact on operations.
• Experience with purchasing and inventory control systems.
• Experience analyzing financial reports and providing management recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
• Experience creating financial and management reports.
• Strong interpersonal and office skills.
• Knowledge of publishing industry, royalty processing, and accounts receivable is a plus.
• Onsite role in Chicago; Archdiocese of Chicago network; salary range disclosed.

Responsibilities

• Record, monitor and administer all financial assets and liabilities; inform Exec Team on GAAP procedures.
• Maintain corporate bank accounts and perform transfers; bank reconciliations with leadership.
• Create annual FY Budget and forecast revenue/expenses with directors.
• Process payables on schedule and classify expenses accordingly.
• Administer payroll processing accurately and confidentially.
• Prepare organizational financial statements and sales reporting for directors.
• Prepare and process annual 1099 forms and other tax reports.
