Job summary

Under minimal supervision, this position produces and distributes financial reports and supports budgeting by processing budget information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.
• Preferred: Prior accounting experience, grants accounting.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial and statistical reports and analyze data for variances.
• Gather data, prepare and analyze routine financial reports for internal UAB purposes and third party agencies.
• Communicate with departmental users and third party agencies regarding applicable accounts.
• Prepare period deposits, billings and transfer of funds in a timely and accurate manner.
• Operate with minimal supervision to produce and distribute financial and statistical reports.
• Support budgeting by processing and inputting budget information.
