Job summary

MJM Marine is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Finance Team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on preparing the monthly management accounts pack, providing variance analysis, and supporting commentary for Board submissions.

The successful candidate will ensure data integrity, contribute to process improvements, and support budgeting and forecasting while working with ERP systems including Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare monthly management accounts packs and provide variance analysis.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes is beneficial.
• Strong MS Excel and Power BI experience is required.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics D365.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts pack for Board submission.
• Provide supporting analysis, KPI’s and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and workflow requirements.
• Assist with year-end audit file and liaise with external auditors.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated Financial Accountant who will be a key member of the Finance Team. The primary responsibility will be the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack for Board submission. This person will ensure the integrity of all supporting data and assist in providing relevant supporting commentary on the management accounts. They will be a key member of the team to identify process improvements and assisting with the roll out of enhanced reporting tools.

Role

• Preparation of monthly management accounts pack
• Provide supporting analysis, KPI’s and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with all company internal controls
• Ensure prompt compliance with all company work flow requirements
• Preparation of year end audit file and liaising with external auditors
• Contribute to process improvements
• Assist in training and developing Finance Team
• Assist with annual Budgeting and monthly forecasting process
• Ad hoc duties pertinent to role of Financial Accountant.
• Qualified accountant
• 4 to 6 years industry experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work within a strong finance team and across multi-disciplinary departments
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet reporting deadlines
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Good Experience of ERP systems
• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics D365
• Experience of Power BI reporting tool
