Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and payable, cash receipts, bank statements, payroll, and general and subsidiary ledger entries.
• Prepare financial reporting and reconciliations, bank statements, budget reporting, and tax work; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries for AP/AR, depreciation and closings; monthly financial statements; assist in year-end reporting; prepare quarterly and yearly tax reports.

We are seeking to add a Financial Accountant to join our team on our Nicholasville campus. This position will manage accounting principles and procedures to ensure our continued financial health. The ideal candidate is a strong professional with a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail and knowledge of regional laws/regulations.

Responsibilities:

• This position will have responsibility to comply with accepted accounting transactions. Activity areas will include accounts receivable and payable, cash receipts, bank statements, payroll, general and subsidiary ledger entries.
• Financial reporting preparation and reconciliation, bank statements, budget reporting, and tax. Resolves any discrepancies that may occur.
• In this position, we are seeking an experienced professional working with journal entries for accounts payable & receivables, depreciation and closings. Prepares monthly financial statements and will assists in year-end reporting. This position will prepare quarterly and yearly tax reports.

Required:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Deep knowledge of accounting principles
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Ability to handle information confidentially
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
