Job summary

Galloway Company, a dairy processing industry leader, seeks a Financial Accountant to start with Accounts Payable and expand into broader accounting and leadership roles. You will build technical expertise, support audits, and drive process improvements in a collaborative environment.

You will develop skills across general ledger, financial reporting, and manufacturing accounting while working with cross-functional teams to strengthen business knowledge and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable, general ledger, or financial reporting.
• Desire to grow into broader accounting and leadership responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full Accounts Payable process, including vendor setup and invoice processing.
• Handle payments, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Oversee expense reports and credit card reconciliations.
• Support inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing accounting needs.
• Contribute to financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with audits and internal control initiatives.

We're seeking a driven Financial Accountant to join our team in a role that begins with ownership of key Accounts Payable functions and expands into broader accounting, financial reporting, and leadership responsibilities. What You'll Do…..

Accounts Payable & Compliance

• Manage the full Accounts Payable process, including vendor setup, invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Process employee expense reports and reconcile company credit card transactions.
• Administer sales and use tax compliance, vendor documentation, and annual 1099 reporting.

Financial Accounting & Reporting

As you grow in the role, you'll gain responsibility for:

• Month-end close and general ledger management
• Account reconciliations and journal entries
• Inventory accounting and standard costing
• Manufacturing accounting support
• Financial reporting and analysis
• Regulatory and compliance reporting

Process Improvement & Leadership Development

• Support annual audits and internal control initiatives.
• Lead and participate in process improvement and automation projects.
• Partner cross-functionally to strengthen business knowledge and leadership capabilities.
