Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company, based in Grand Rapids for over 125 years, seeks a Financial Accountant to join our industry-leading team. You will contribute to month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls, with opportunities for bonus merit and a robust benefits package.

The role focuses on supporting audits, tax filings, and international consolidation while collaborating across departments to strengthen processes as we expand into new markets.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Intermediate Excel and proficient with ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in month end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules for internal and external financial reporting.
• Assist with internal controls policies and recommendations.
• Support year-end audit and tax preparation with external auditors.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Assist in the month end closing process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules for internal and external financial reporting and compliance purposes
• Assist with policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Support the year-end financial audit and tax preparation process with external auditors and tax consultants
• Support and assist the international consolidation process
• Complete tax filings and support (incomes, sales, property) as assigned
• Assist with tax provision schedules for domestic and international entities
• Work cross-functionally with company departments and external partners
• Assist with the continuous improvement of processes and procedures as company expands into other new and established markets
• Collaborate with various departments within the organization on a weekly/monthly basis

What You Will Bring:

• Work Experience: 3 years of experience working in an accounting or finance department
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Proficient in Excel, ability to learn ERP system
