About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Finance Transformation Lead to partner closely with both internal partners and recently acquired companies to execute end-to-end improvements across our finance function, reporting to the CFO.

Operating in a private equity-backed, professional services organization in a highly acquisitive environment, this role will lead key initiatives including shared services development, technology and software implementations, and AI-enabled automation to drive speed, accuracy, and scale.

The ideal candidate will blend operational finance expertise with a builder’s mindset and strong cross-functional communication skills to deliver measurable impact across the organization while enabling seamless integration of acquired entities.

What You’ll Do:

Finance Process Redesign & Optimization

  • Standardize processes across acquired entities, particularly in areas of banking, procurement, payroll, revenue recognition, project accounting, and billing
  • Optimize core finance workflows (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash) to reduce cycle times, eliminate redundancy, and support scale
  • Identify pain points and inefficiencies; develop and execute a roadmap for streamlined, technology-enabled solutions, while maintaining close partnerships with key stakeholders

Shared Services Strategy & Execution

  • Design finance shared services center to centralize transactional functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and reporting
  • Define organizational structure, roles, SLAs, and governance frameworks for effective service delivery
  • Integrate newly acquired entities into shared services infrastructure while advancing quality and speed
  • Evaluate and optimize ERP (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite), and supporting tools (e.g., Bill.com, Expensify, Ramp) in close partnership with our Technology organization
  • Evaluate and deploy finance technologies that reduce manual work and accelerate close cycles, including BlackLine, FloQast and Workiva

AI & Advanced Automation

  • Identify opportunities to deploy AI, machine learning, and RPA to automate reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and close tasks
  • Evaluate and pilot AI-driven tools with a focus on reducing billing, procurement and close timelines and improving insight quality
  • Operationalize AI tools that support predictive insights and real-time financial decision-making

M&A and Integration Support

  • Co-develop system and process integration strategy and execution in a highly acquisitive environment, working closely with Technology, HR, Integration, Accounting and acquired firms.
  • Rapidly assess and onboard the finance functions of acquired entities into the shared services and systems architecture
  • Contribute to standardization of post-acquisition close processes and ensure timely execution of Day 1 and Day 100 finance readiness plans aligned with value creation goals

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years in finance transformation, having experienced technology implementations, process improvements, and shared services development
  • Expertise in Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms, and close tools like BlackLine, FloQast and Workiva
  • Experience evaluating and implementing AI and automation tools in a finance context
  • Experience operating in private equity-backed and/or professional services companies, particularly in highly acquisitive environments
  • Strong project management skills, executive presence, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
