Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Director, Finance Transformation – Record to Report to lead the Finance workstream of the SAP S/4HANA transformation.

You will partner with the R2R Global Process Owner and process leaders to shape the future-state close, reporting, costing and control environment. The role requires deep R2R and controls expertise, hands-on SAP delivery experience, and the ability to drive process design, data governance, and automation across a global finance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and related disciplines; MBA/CPA/CA/CMA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in finance transformation or ERP-enabled transformation.
• Hands-on SAP transformation delivery experience (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
• Strong SOX and ICFR controls experience and audit readiness.
• Experience influencing CFO- and Controller-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the R2R transformation agenda end to end - future-state process and operating model, solution requirements, control environment, release readiness and adoption.
• Lead design of redesigned finance code block, standard product costing, revenue recognition, intercompany and tax redesign.
• Drive automation, data governance, AI enablement across close, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
• Manage plan, resource model, budget, risk and issue management, milestone readiness, testing and cutover, and governance reporting.
• Build and lead a high-performing transformation team across Finance, IT and Data & Analytics, ensuring knowledge transfer.
