Purpose

The Finance Transformation Business Lead is a dynamic role responsible for providing cross-functional systems, process and control implementation & support in the SAP landscape and broader integrated environments. The role will report to the Director of Finance Transformation and be part of a high performing cross functional team driving process improvements & unlocking system efficiencies across the Interstate System.This person will be a critical player in Interstate Battery’s transformation initiatives and growing business.


Job Components

  • Strategic

    • Provide consultative services to Senior leadership including financial system opportunities, analysis of business processes and value streams,business case development, and strategic project identification

    • Identify and prioritize existing integration requirements and process inefficiencies, recommend dynamic solutions and drive their timely implementations

    • Evaluate opportunities to leverage new technologies (e.g. 3rd party offshore/onshore, RPA & other cutting edge intelligent automation) to enhance the Financial Systems platform and Customer experience

  • Tactical

    • Lead, manage and execute critical cross-functional transformation projects to deliver incremental revenue, cost/expense reductions, and working capital optimization

    • Utilize SAP technical knowledge to bridge key business process expected outcomes with IT development, including IB’s National Accounts central billing cycle, Intercompany landscape, Prepaid Lead & other key Transformation initiatives

    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of financial systems such as Standard Work and Process/Value Stream Mapping

    • Develop measures of success to track progress towards Finance Transformation goals including key KPI’s & metrics

    • Collaborate with business users to understand functional requirements to identify new solutions by partnering with technical ABAP resources

    • Manage efforts to document configurations, underlying processes & potential enhancements

    • Prepare presentation materials and lead routine update meetings with key stakeholders

    • Identify potential system issues/risks and develop mitigation strategies through to conclusion

  • Change Agent

    • Driving Cultural change focused on the success of our business and its customers

    • Lead in the development of SAP best practice principles to facilitate change management and end user adoption of new technologies and processes

  • Alignment

    • Collaborate with Executive Sponsors to ensure ongoing support and that change initiatives are in-line with strategic objectives

    • Ensure Financial Systems are effective, efficient & comply with audit & regulatory requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or information systems

  • Minimum 10 years work experience with SAP including a large implementation ($2B+ Revenue organization)

  • Extensive knowledge of the SAP S/4 Hana technical financial landscape including the intersections of the various transaction modules

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

  • Experience collaborating cross functionally to drive implementation of new systems and tools

  • Ability to conduct deep dive analysis and present information to key stakeholders in a digestible way

  • Must be comfortable dealing with complex, ambiguous and challenging issues and working with and manipulating large data sets

  • Highly self-motivated, work ethic driven with keen attention to detail and exceptional customer orientation

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong influencing, partnership & interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization including Executive Leadership

  • Self-driven, change-oriented, independent thinker

  • Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business

  • Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings

  • Strong technical and general accounting/finance knowledge
