Job summary

Dominium Management Services, a leading affordable housing developer and manager, seeks a Finance Tax Intern for a full-time, on-site summer 2027 internship in Farmers Branch, TX. The role supports federal, state, local, partnership, and property tax processes and provides practical tax accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field; or recent graduate within 12 months.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical, mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with financial/tax data.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Power BI/Power Query/SQL preferred.
• Interest in tax accounting, tax compliance, real estate taxation, or corporate finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with federal, state, local, partnership, and property tax returns, schedules and workpapers.
• Review and organize financial and tax information to support compliance and reporting.
• Support tax compliance by researching, tracking, and monitoring filing deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Perform tax analyses, reconciliations, and special projects as assigned by Tax team.
• Track invoices, prepare payment requests, and maintain tax filing documentation.
• Maintain accurate tax records and filing systems.
• Conduct data analysis and reporting using financial, tax, and operational data.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvements.
