Job summary

NV Energy is seeking a Director of Accounting, Systems & Process Improvement in Las Vegas, NV to lead process improvements, change management, and system direction for the Finance organization, while supporting Controller responsibilities.

You will build and deliver training, drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives. A Bachelor's in accounting and 8 years' progressive experience including leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 8 years of progressive related work experience, including 2 years in a leadership role.
• GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience leading interdepartmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs analyses and measures the effectiveness of Finance processes and leads process improvements.
• Oversees and delivers design and execution of process improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
• Owns Controller components of software implementation initiatives and ensures standard processes are adopted.
• Designs and delivers Finance trainings including technical, skills, and process training.
• Manages change management with communication, training, and documentation to mitigate risks.
• Monitors industry technologies and drives executive initiatives for efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with policies, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
