Job summary

The Crowd is seeking an experienced Finance Systems Manager in New York to lead the transition from Deltek Vision to Vantagepoint within a mid-sized finance team. This full-time role requires ownership of the project from planning through data migration, testing and launch, with ongoing system stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete migration from Deltek Vision to Vantagepoint, including planning, design, data transfer, testing and launch.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, PM, IT and external consultants to define requirements and readiness.
• Own long-term Vantagepoint ownership, improving finance, project accounting, CRM, reporting and operations.
• Maintain data integrity, controls, dashboards and documentation; drive automation and process improvements.

Job description

The Crowd is working with an highly-innovative and leading name in the global architecture and design space that are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Manager to join their mid-sized finance team in New York. This is a key role within the business, leading the transition of a major financial systems change from Deltek Vision to Vantagepoint.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Deltek and proven experience leading a full end-to-end implementation, migration or major upgrade within a project-based professional services environment. With the support of senior management, you will take ownership of the transition from Vision to Vantagepoint, overseeing the full transformation from initial planning and configuration through to data migration, testing, launch and long-term system ownership.

This is a key position role working closely with Finance, Operations, Project Management, IT, and the wider team to ensure a smooth and successful implementation cross all aspects and teams. The successful candidate will bring strong project management and stakeholder management skills, alongside a detailed understanding of financial systems, accounting, project tracking and the specific requirements of a project-based software rollout.

Note: This is a full-time, in-person position based in the firm’s NYC office five days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the complete migration from Deltek Vision to Vantagepoint, overseeing project planning, system design, configuration, data transfer, testing, launch, and post-implementation support
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and external consultants to define business requirements, improve workflows, manage project timelines, and ensure organizational readiness.
• Take long-term ownership of Vantagepoint, continuously improving its functionality across finance, project accounting, CRM, resource planning, reporting, and related business operations
• Maintain data accuracy, system controls, permissions, reconciliations, dashboards, and reporting tools while troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Develop training materials, process documentation, and user guidance to support adoption and consistent system use across multiple teams and offices

Key Skills/Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint, including direct involvement in at least one full-cycle implementation, migration, or significant system upgrade.
• Strong knowledge of project-based ERP platforms, project accounting, financial reporting, and the operational workflows of a professional services organization.
• Demonstrated experience with system configuration, data migration and validation, user acceptance testing, process redesign, change management, and post-launch optimization.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical system solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, with advanced Excel skills
• A strong communicator, with the ability to explain financial and project related concepts clearly to non-finance team members
