Job summary

Premera is seeking a Finance Systems Analyst III to serve as a subject matter expert for Finance processes and Workday Financials. You will maintain finance systems, support analytics requests, and collaborate across IT, Payroll and HR to optimize workflows and data accuracy.

The role emphasizes system upgrades, documentation, training, and change management, with opportunities to drive automation and improve reporting in a health plan environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Workday Financial Analyst or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related area OR an additional four years of experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts.
• Pro Certifications in Workday Financials modules will be advantageous.
• Experience using AI and automation tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite (VBA/Macros) and familiarity with SQL.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and maintenance of a reporting repository and support reporting and analytics requests.
• Proactively seek opportunities to enhance Workday Financials and related processes and reporting.
• Strong ability to research new functionalities, engage with Workday Community, and remain informed of best practices.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including user guides, process flows, and configuration documentation.
• Assist with Workday training for end users as needed.
• Participate in scheduled systems upgrades, including test plan development, regression testing, and reviewing and prototyping new functionality.
• Support change management activities, including authoring user documentation and facilitating training sessions.
• Gather and qualify business requirements and recommend solutions in collaboration with partnering teams (IT, Payroll, HR).
• Analyze existing workflows, document and streamline processes.
• Contribute to the maintenance and accuracy of systems data, in the form of data loads and audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
