Job summary

Proskauer Rose LLP is seeking a Finance Systems Analyst in New York to support the Finance Systems team with Aderant Expert development, SQL data objects, and analytics. You will collaborate with finance and IT to deliver integrated reporting solutions and serve as an escalation point for end users across related systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of ERP experience, strong SQL, and familiarity with Intapp/Emburse tools.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience using a legal ERP system, such as Aderant Expert or Elite 3E.
• Strong SQL coding skills and experience with financial management systems, particularly Aderant Expert.
• Experience with DocuDraft, Microsoft Visual Studio, and SQL.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Exposure to Emburse Enterprise, Intapp Time, Intapp Intake & Conflicts, Billblast, and Versapay Cash Applications is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information to recommend and plan modifications for the Aderant Expert system.
• Assess user needs and determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Modify classic and framework forms and create custom SQL and HTML notifications.
• Update templates for bills, remittances, and payments; manage email subscriptions.

• Support the business analysis lifecycle and define requirements with departments.
• Develop customized financial analytics and models for analysts and power users.
• Develop integrated data solutions with finance and IT teams.
• Provide end user support for the Aderant system and related tools.
• Contribute to formalized support and security models; backup as needed.
• Participate in enterprise projects involving Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and Excel-based data mining tools.

The Finance Systems Analyst will be based in the New York office and will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Systems team with ongoing projects. Primary responsibilities include development for the Financial System and ancillary products and include performing environment restores and promoting custom development between the development, test, and production environments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

System Analysis, Modifications and Development

• Analyze information to recommend and plan modifications for the Aderant Expert system.
• Assess user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Modify both classic and framework forms.
• Create custom SQL and HTML notifications.
• Update bill, remittance, and payment templates.
• Manage email subscriptions for recurring reports.

SQL and Data Object Development

• Develop SQL code bases using existing data objects from the Aderant Expert financial management system.
• Implement new custom data objects.

Business Analysis and Development

• Support the business analysis and development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts in various departments to define requirements.

Financial Analytics and Models

• Develop customized financial analytics and models.
• Create aggregated financial content and data objects for financial analysts and business power users.

Integrated Data Solutions

• Work with finance and IT team members to develop integrated data solutions to meet unique reporting needs.

End User Support

• Serve as an escalation point for end users who need support in the Aderant system, including basic maintenance of the system.
• Provide end user support for Intapp Time, Intapp Intake & Conflicts, Emburse Enterprise and other systems Finance Systems team is responsible for.

Support and Security Models

• Assist in the development of formalized support and security models for finance systems and reporting tools.
• Provide back-up support to the Senior Finance Systems Analyst as needed.
• Perform environment restores and promote custom development between the development, test, and production environments.

Enterprise Projects and Training

• Participate in enterprise projects involving Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and Excel-based data mining tools.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.

Change Management and Process Improvement

• Strictly adhere to the Firm’s change management and other operational policies.
• Provide support for all change management and process improvement within the Finance function.
• Document system changes and process improvements.

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certificates or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
