A dynamic finance leadership position is open at HR Advantage, LLC in Jersey City. This role entails oversight of budgeting, client service, and financial analysis, requiring 5+ years of finance/accounting experience. The right candidate will excel in a fast-paced, multinational environment, leading teams and enhancing financial capabilities while interacting with senior management.
This is an exciting and a challenging position. The position requires an individual who can be an effective leader in a position without strong formal authority with 5+ years experience in finance/accounting.
The person will be outgoing, and comfortable in a truly multinational environment, working with different styles and all levels of staff. Strong interpersonal skills, including people management and process management will be called upon.
The individual will demonstrate a curiosity for solving problems, and initiative in finding ways to get things done better and should be Client service-oriented. He/she will require strong listening, feedback, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. In addition, he/she should be the type of person who can empathize with people’s needs, concerns and goals, and have a genuine interest in building finance capabilities. The individual should be comfortable communicating with the senior leadership team either at the local, regional and global level. The individual will be expected to be hands on, detailed and results oriented.
The individual will need to team effectively with a number of stakeholders – including the local office, system and various regional finance teams
1) Budget/Office Planning and Analysis :
Produce annual operating budgets and forecasts in accordance with regional and global guidelines, business trends and management recommendations
2) Client Service and Support:
Manage local-office Time & Billing function in line with firm’s policies
Ensure all documentation requirements are met, including proposals, budgets, contracts, relevant case files and correspondence. Support client team, regional and external auditors requests
Oversee client case management
3) Internal and Ad-hoc Reporting
Prepare financial reports and analysis to support business objectives and presents these to the Officer group as requested
Be a thought partner for the OA and OC to help lead the business forward on multiple dimensions
Act as finance liaison to functional managers and lends financial support to assist/guide fiscal spending
In conjunction with regional/functional teams, identify and implement best practice opportunities, make recommendations and lead in process improvements
Work with functional managers to identify cost saving opportunities and to recommend/implement method to realize savings
Build financial system expertise (Business Objects and Excel), lead local development of financial applications, policies and procedures to ensure financial integrity and controls
Provide leadership, mentoring and training for finance staff
Manage staffing, hiring and capacity requirements of the local finance team
Promote and foster cross-functional teaming throughout the firm
5) Oversee the US Expense Hub
Supervise the US Expense Hub and oversee all aspects of the day to day operations including management and development of employees
Maintain & develop processes and controls to ensure integrity processing of expense reports
Manage staffing, hiring and capacity requirements for the US expense hub
Provide leadership, mentoring and training for hub staff
Identify and proactively manage risk.
Train staff to be sensitive to aspects of risk management
7) Northeast coordination
Teaming with NE counterparts to ensure alignment throughout the annual budget process
BA/BS with emphasis in Finance/Accounting and/or MBA strongly preferred
5+ years experience in Finance/Accounting with experience in planning and analysis, financial reporting, in a professional services preferred
Hands-on experience with budgets and financial planning and analysis processes
Supervisory experience with a proven track record for improving their teams from a professional development perspective
Advanced technical skills with proficiency in desktop applications and financial systems. Extensive use of Windows and the following software applications:
· PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
· Oracle or other large financial systems environment
Strong leadership skills, ability to modulate work style, apply creative problem solving skills, and motivate staff
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to team with all levels of the organization and be the “face” of the NJ finance organization
Exercise good judgment and understanding of how decisions impact overall organization
Client service-oriented
Dynamic and strong interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of organization
Proficiency in the following areas:
Knowledge of project accounting systems
Knowledge of budgeting and planning tools

Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential
