Job summary

This FP&A position is based in Lake Forest, IL, within the Diagnostics division, and focuses on financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and ad hoc requests to support profitability.

You will work with senior management to develop models, analyze Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, and drive process improvements across the Abbott Diagnostics commercial

Qualifications

Minimum of 4-6 years of finance/accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Balance Sheet or Cash Flow reporting.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly balance sheet results analysis against benchmarks.
Manage cash flow reporting with high visibility to Sr. Management.
Analyze balance sheet health for Diagnostics division.
Support investment analysis and reconciliation of sales, utilization and units.
Develop and maintain complex financial models.
Prepare monthly reports for senior management.
Identify process improvements and assist in LBE forecasts.
Interact with finance and commercial management.
Conduct financial modeling using Excel.

The Opportunity

This position works from our Conway Park office located in Lake Forest, IL, in the Diagnostics Division.

What You’ll Work On

The Global Commercial Operations FP&A team is responsible for supporting the Abbott Diagnostics commercial organization for financial analysis, reporting, forecasting/budgeting, and additional ad hoc requests.

This position will develop a deep understanding of the commercial team’s role in driving profitability for Abbott’s global business. The individual will gain expertise in Abbott’s product offerings, local business dynamics, and business strategy, all while establishing efficient processes and tools to analyze and grow the business.

Major Accountabilities

Support the Abbott Diagnostics Commercial organization through detailed financial analysis, business support, and ad hoc reporting. Some activities may include:

Monthly review and analysis of actual Balance Sheet results compared to benchmarks and metrics.
Managing Abbott Diagnostics commercial cash flow reporting and analysis, which has high visibility to Sr. Management.
Analyzing the balance sheet health for the Diagnostics division compared to multiple benchmarks and metrics.
Service Equipment Investment analysis and Sales, Utilization and Unit reconciliation.
Support the OEM process with building and maintaining complex financial models.
Prepare monthly reports for senior management.
Assist in identification and implementation of process improvements.
Preparation of LBE (latest best estimate) forecasts.
Exposure to international P&Ls/exchange rates.
Interaction with different levels of management, both finance and commercial.
Financial modeling with extensive use of Excel.
Special Ad Hoc projects.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 4-6 years of finance/accounting experience. Previous commercial / FP&A experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Balance Sheet or Cash Flow reporting preferred.
High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work independently and with senior management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

This position will work out of Lake Forest, IL.

The base pay for this position is

$86,700.00 – $173,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
