Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Finance Summer Intern (Shared Services) in Louisville, KY. You’ll support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury operations while gaining hands-on experience with finance systems and data analysis.

You will work on reconciliations, account research, and cross-functional collaboration to improve processes and financial accuracy. This internship runs May–August and is onsite at GE Appliances Park in Louisville.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another business-related field.
• Must maintain a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
• Significant experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Supports Shared Services Finance with AR, AP, and Treasury activities.
• Uses Microsoft Office, Oracle, and AI tools to research accounts and reconcile data.
• Gathers and organizes supporting docs to ensure accurate financial records.
• Researches past-due invoices and customer deductions for collections and dispute resolution.
• Investigates unapplied cash and customer credits by analyzing payments and reconciliations.
• Assists with processing and reconciling credit card transactions and related issues.
• Maintains customer data integrity in Oracle and validates addresses.
• Collaborates with internal partners to answer routine accounting inquiries and provide timely information.
• Completes special projects and supports process improvements.
