Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University seeks a Finance and Accounting Analyst 2 to support the Budget & Finance leadership with financial analytics for special projects within the academic mission.

The role gathers and analyzes data, creates accessible reports, forecasts, and supports operating and capital budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, and consolidated reporting for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; 36 hours accounting if field differs.
• Minimum of 2 years progressive relevant work experience.
• Proficient with computers, including database and spreadsheet applications.
• Proficiency in GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience in Academic Health Center finance and project analysis preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage expenditures and tracking for Special Projects/Initiative funding with regular project reviews.
• Prepare monthly financial reports with variance analysis and re-forecasts.
• Prepare operating and capital budgets and forecasts for multiple projects.
• Perform Labor Distribution, journal entries, data entry, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable tasks.
• Provide financial advice on matters including procurement, Oracle, and policies.
