Job summary

ING Americas is seeking an experienced Test Lead for Finance, Risk and Tax reporting under a CONTRACTOR arrangement in New York. The role focuses on establishing testing strategy, governance and cross‑team coordination for regulatory and management reporting, including Power BI outputs.

The ideal candidate has hands-on data testing expertise, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to drive defects to closure across local and global teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software testing, data testing or QA experience in a large organization.
• Demonstrated experience testing Finance, Risk, Tax and regulatory reporting.
• Strong data-validation, reconciliation and data‑flow understanding.
• Experience coordinating SIT/UAT and defect governance across multiple teams.
• Knowledge of test documentation, traceability and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a risk-based end-to-end testing strategy and operating model.
• Create and maintain the integrated test plan, scope, schedule and roles.
• Coordinate system integration testing, data validation and end-to-end testing across workstreams.
• Translate requirements into test scenarios, cases and expected results.
• Validate data quality, lineage and report presentation from source to downstream reports.
• Lead testing for SNC regulatory reporting, risk management and tax outputs.
• Coordinate testing of Finance reports and semantic models for Power BI.
