Job summary

AmLaw 100 international law firm in Dallas, TX seeks a mid-level Litigation Associate to join its Finance & Restructuring Practice Group. You will handle complex financial disputes, from pre-suit through trial, in collaboration with a nationally integrated team.

You will manage discovery planning, draft motions, and develop case strategies while advising clients on litigation risk in a hybrid work setting with real opportunities for mentorship and growth.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Texas bar in good standing.
• Experience with financial services or restructuring-related litigation.
• Ability to manage all phases of complex litigation, including drafting legal documents, discovery and depositions, preparing for trial, and motions practice.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, filings, client communications, and multiple competing priorities.
• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and advocacy abilities, both written and oral.
• Proven capacity to work collaboratively across offices and disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in financial, commercial, and restructuring-related litigation in federal and state courts and arbitration forums.
• Manage complex litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through trial and post-trial proceedings.
• Develop and execute case strategies, including discovery planning and implementation.
• Draft, argue, and respond to motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive court filings.
• Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and draft complex motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Attend court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, client meetings, and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients to develop and execute case strategy.
• Provide clients with timely, practical, and strategic advice on litigation and risk management.
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on excellence and innovation.
