Job summary

The University of Minnesota seeks a Reporting Accounting Business/Systems Analyst 2 to support faculty, staff, and administrators by delivering financial reporting and system solutions across central, collegiate, and departmental units.

Responsibilities include production support, analysis and design, BI report development (BI Publisher/OBIEE), testing, and special projects, with collaboration between business process owners and IT to enable informed decisions.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus at least two years of work experience in business or systems process analysis or a master's degree.
• Strong technical skills and aptitude, including familiarity with development processes and methodology.
• Knowledge of both Relational and Dimensional Database design.
• Experience communicating effectively with business and IT professionals at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Production Support (30%): resolves production issues within assigned module responsibility, often from nightly/daily batch processing or users/Business Process Owners.
• Analysis, Functional Design, Report Development (30%): implement new functionality, perform functional design and may develop BI Publisher reports or OBIEE RPD metadata.
• Testing (30%): perform system and regression testing on releases and maintenance cycles.
• Special Projects (10%): participate in upgrades, year-end processing, and other one-off initiatives.
