Job summary

McDonald’s Corporation is seeking an Accounting Senior within the Corporate Controller Group in the Chicago area. The role offers exposure to US GAAP accounting, monthly close activities, and financial reporting for a global brand.

You will collaborate with IDL Finance teams, support SOX controls, and contribute to process improvements while working with a diverse, multinational team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong problem-solving and initiative to drive efficiencies.
• Ability to navigate cross-functional teams and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact with IDL Finance teams on accounting for International Developmental Licensee segment under US GAAP.
• Oversee intercompany processes and support monthly GL close.
• Prepare quarterly AR aging analyses for leadership.
• Prepare and review monthly/quarterly internal controls for SOX.
• Support 10-Q/10-K reporting and earnings release schedules.
• Contribute to finance modernization projects and process improvements.
• Build relationships with global markets contacts and unit partners.
