Job summary

Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky, MT seeks a Director of Finance & Purchasing to lead financial operations and purchasing for the on-site hospitality property. You will partner with senior leaders to drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic cost management while maintaining strong controls and reporting.

The role requires hands-on leadership, process improvement, and collaboration across departments to optimize financial performance and guest experience at the ranch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, purchasing, or operations with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience with accounts payable, purchasing, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial and accounting operations with accurate records and internal controls.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial analysis.
• Partner with GM and department leaders to provide financial insight for decisions.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end processes with the accounting team.
• Lead purchasing, vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, and large purchases.
• Oversee accounts payable, receiving, and inventory coordination.
• Manage contracts, licenses, permits, and insurance documentation.
• Coordinate IT needs and liaison with external providers.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
