Job summary

Scotiabank's Global Banking and Markets unit in Dallas seeks a senior professional to oversee internal controls and regulatory reporting for U.S. Finance. You will drive QA programs, improve controls, and manage issues with a focus on continuous enhancement of process integrity.

You will collaborate with auditors, regulators, and cross-functional teams to strengthen the control framework, implement AI-enabled processes, and ensure compliance with ICOFR, AML, and FRB requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with good knowledge of technology.
• CPA designation or other relevant professional designations.
• Strong knowledge in regulatory reporting (FFIEC 02, FR Y-15).
• 10+ years’ experience in internal controls and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders across multiple functional areas of the Bank to promote a robust control framework environment.
• Experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines. Influencing stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Federal Reserve regulatory reporting for foreign banking organizations or related organizations.
• Solid understanding of overall banking business and products.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute strategies and testing plans for regulatory reporting controls.
• Review outstanding issues, analyze root causes, and prepare test findings.
• Develops, maintains, and facilitates updates of Policy and Procedure documentation; coordinates training.
• Reviews quality assurance and KPIs for U.S. Finance.
• Liaise with Auditors and Regulators and assist in regulatory examinations.
• Provides admin support for FORA team and FEAT tool usage.
• Leads or assists in special projects per management.
