Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Financial Operations and Reporting in the Terry-Business Office. You will lead five Financial Team Leads and oversee financial operations for 20+ academic units, ensuring efficient service and accurate reporting.

You will oversee financial reporting, process improvements, internal controls, and liaise with the UGA Foundation on financial matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience.
• The Assistant Director supervises five Financial Team Leads and supports 20+ departments.

Responsibilities

• Direct personnel management of five Financial Team Leads and oversee staff development.
• Provide strategic analysis for financial reporting, workload management and internal controls.
• Develop dashboards and monitor service levels across the Terry Business Office.
• Coordinate with UGA Foundation on financial matters and endowment activities.
• Support budget planning, data reporting and cross‑department collaboration.
