Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks is required.
• Understanding SaaS metrics (MRR/ARR) and revenue recognition.
• Strong analytical storytelling from data.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for modeling.
• Experience in bootstrapped or early-stage startups is a plus.
• Remote/part-time flexible work arrangement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the books end-to-end with QuickBooks and bookkeeping.

The Role

We're looking for a part-time Finance Operations Manager (~15–20 hours/week) to own the financial backbone of Breakthrough. This is a hands‑on, high-trust role — you'll work directly with the founder, keep our books tight, and make sure we always have a clear picture of where money is coming and going. What You'll Own

• QuickBooks & Bookkeeping — Own the books end-to-end. Clean, accurate, always up to date.
• Payroll & Vendor Payments — Manage all outgoing payments on schedule. No delays, no errors.
• Weekly Cash Flow — Track weekly cash position and deliver a clear, founder‑ready report every week.
• Expense Auditing — Proactively flag redundant subscriptions, wasteful spend, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Monthly Reconciliation — Reconcile all accounts monthly to keep everything tight and error‑free.
• Partner Coach Payouts — Monitor and manage payouts to our growing network of partner coaches.
• Reporting & Forecasting — Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial decisions with clean data.
• Process Improvement — Build and improve financial workflows, internal controls, and compliance practices.

What We're Looking For

• Strong accounting fundamentals and hands‑on QuickBooks experience
• Solid understanding of SaaS financials — revenue recognition, subscription metrics, MRR/ARR
• Sharp analytical skills — you can read the data, spot anomalies, and tell the story clearly
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and modeling
• High attention to detail and a personal standard for accuracy
• Self‑directed and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
• Direct communicator — you'll be working closely with the founder, not buried in layers
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (or equivalent real‑world experience)
• Experience in a bootstrapped or early‑stage startup is a strong plus
• Comfortable owning your deliverables fully within a flexible part‑time schedule
