The University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for the position of Business Manager in the School of Natural Resources. The role supports the School’s Director in fiscal management, office operations, HR, and data management with full signature authority on specified matters.

Responsibilities include budget development, post-award and payroll oversight, and comprehensive financial reporting to inform Director-level decisions for the School of Natural Resources.

Responsabilidades

• Approving financial transactions and managing school-level accounts (transfers, contracts, invoices, reimbursements, travel expenditures)
• Preparing annual budgets and reviewing allocations with the Director
• Representing SNR at budget meetings and coordinating fund usage with budget directors
• Overseeing payroll operations and personnel accounts, including monthly PI expense reviews
• Managing and reconciling multiple SNR accounts (state-appropriated, start-up, gift, income, research)
• Creating and distributing internal funding, tracking expenditures and ensuring fiscal compliance
• Monitoring payroll for project personnel and assisting in financial reporting and audits
• Coordinating with Office of Research and Sponsored Projects Accounting for closeouts and reporting
