Job summary

NEXT for AUTISM seeks a Director, Finance & Administration to lead finance, HR, IT and operations, reporting to the CEO. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, audits, dashboards, and internal controls as the organization scales.

The position drives strategic financial planning, supplier and payroll processes, and collaborates across teams to support NEXT for AUTISM’s mission and growth in services for autistic adults and families.

Qualifications

• BS in accounting; MBA preferred.
• CPA certification required or pursued.
• 7–10 years of professional experience; non-profit accounting a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of broad financial and operations management experience.
• Experience identifying opportunities for efficiencies and automation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close, including revenue/expense recording and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare audit schedules and 1099 filings.
• Analyze and present financial reports; oversee project/program and grant accounting.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools for visibility into financial performance.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting; coordinate annual planning with the CEO and senior team.
