Job summary

Anderson Center for Autism seeks a strategic Controller to lead our Finance Department, reporting to the CFO and guiding accounting and finance teams. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliant operations that support life‑changing programs for individuals with autism.

You will oversee budgeting, audits, and regulatory filings while advancing financial systems and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Experience overseeing complex financial operations and leading accounting/finance professionals.
• Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Finance Department and lead the accounting/finance team.
• Maintain general ledger, internal controls, financial systems, and accounting processes for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to support planning and decision‑making.
• Oversee agency billing activities and regulatory/reimbursement requirements.
• Lead annual budget preparation, monitoring, and cost-control efforts.
• Ensure timely financial reporting, regulatory filings, audits, and compliance activities.
• Coordinate annual audit preparation and provide financial records to auditors.
• Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, accounts receivable/payable.
• Provide financial guidance and reporting to organizational leaders and departments.
