Berlin Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance and Operations to support the financial health and operational integrity of the district. Under the Director, you will prepare and maintain financial records, assist with budgets, and ensure compliance with GASB and federal/state regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field preferred.
• Certifications: Eligible for CSDE 085 certification or immediate eligibility to obtain; CPA/CMA a plus.
• Technical: Proficiency in modern ERP/financial software and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining financial records, ledgers and journal entries according to GAAP and GASB.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement prep for review.
• Assist with budget development, implementation, and monitoring for the district.
• Serve as backup for payroll and accounts payable processes.
