Georgetown University seeks a Director for Finance & Ops to lead all budget and financial operations for a major cluster within Main Campus Administrative Units. This role reports to the Senior Business Manager and oversees a Sr.

Financial Analyst and collaborates with an Associate Director of Finance & Ops. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with experience managing budgets of $70M+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or higher. Master’s strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s + substantial experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.
• 10+ years of progressive work experience in financial analysis and budgeting in a sophisticated office environment.
• Strong financial acumen across budgeting, transactions, revenues, COA, journals, purchasing, and travel.
• Ability to build and utilize financial reports and analyses.
• Advanced business analytics skills.
• Experience managing budgets of $70M+.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budget development and forecasting for assigned units.
• Oversee financial operations and year-end close activities.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analyses.
• Review and oversee HCM transactions as a Finance Partner.
• Plan and monitor restricted funds and research expenditures as directed by SMB/CFO.
• Collaborate with procurement and accounting teams regularly.
