LendKey Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Finance Operations Associate in Cincinnati, OH. This role focuses on managing the lifecycle of loan funds, settlements, and payments to ensure smooth operations for financial institutions and borrowers.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for day-to-day interactions and support with schools, lenders, escrow agents and private equity firms.
• Reconcile daily ACH and check payment applications.
• Lead financial operations functions including settlements, lockbox, exception item processing and reconciliation of check, ACH and wire-related transactions.
• Assist with moving funds on our customers’/consumers’ behalf for loan funding, disbursements and remittance.
• Maintain, track, and post various financial information related to borrowers for different financial products.
• Ensure prompt completion of loan processing, including school certifications.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate operational risks and drive process improvements.
• Participate in department and company-wide projects as a payments subject matter expert.
• Take ownership of internal and external inquiries to provide timely resolutions.

A key component of LendKey’s business model and the services it provides to its financial institution clients is managing the financial operations throughout the entire lifecycle of loans originated on the LendKey platform. That includes everything from pulling funds from lenders to disbursement of funds to schools and executing borrower payments & refunds, as well as managing other steps in the FinOps process.

We are looking for a FinOps Associate to join our team and be a part of this integral piece of our business.

What you’ll do:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day interactions and support with schools, lenders, escrow agents and private equity firms.
• Reconcile daily ACH and check payment applications.
• Lead financial operations functions including settlements, lockbox, exception item processing and reconciliation of check, ACH and wire-related transactions.
• Assist with the moving of funds on our customers’/consumers’ behalf for purposes including loan funding, loan disbursements & lender payment remittances.
• Maintain, track, and post various financial information related to our borrowers for different financial products, including borrower payments and refunds on their behalf.
• Ensure prompt completion of loan processing, including the processing of school certifications.
• Work closely with internal & external stakeholders to mitigate operational risks and drive operational process improvements.
• Participate in department and company-wide projects as a payment processing subject matter expert.
• Take ownership of internal and external inquires to provide accurate and timely resolutions.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in financial services
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; high school diploma required
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; comfortable with numbers and an analytical mindset
• Task-oriented with strong attention to detail
• Proven strong verbal and written communication skills
